These are new discoveries, possible indigenous stonework. A growing number of people are waking up to the possible greater antiquity and significance of the stonework of New England. Some tribal elders are also opening up about their ancestors’ formerly secret practices, admitting there is something to all this. Skeptical critics still argue indigenous peoples in Northeastern North America never worked with stone, and credit all New England’s stonework to early European settlers -- or hypothetical, pre-Columbian Phoenicians, Celts, or Knights Templar. Based on the evidence and tribal testimony, I disagree.
